SPS Students Can Change Their Name and Gender Designation

Seattle Public Schools (SPS) now allows for students, parents, or guardians to request a name or gender change of said student by contacting the admissions team. Legal name change or gender designation change is not required in order for public schools to use the student’s requested name/pronouns on public school records.
