Voice Modification in Social VR Study
We are working on a social VR study through the UW Mad-ability lab (based at UW-Madison) focusing on voice modification in social VR. A target demographic for this study is trans and gender-nonconforming individuals, including transgender, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming individuals. This study explores how transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals navigate social VR, including applications such as VRChat, RecRoom and other online VR games with the help of voice modification tools such as VoiceMod, Clownfish, and built-in tools. The survey will take approximately 12 minutes, and is reimbursed via $5 Amazon gift card. The optional followup interview will be conducted remotely, and reimbursed at a rate of $25/hour. Below are the eligibility criteria:

– you have experience using voice modifiers in social VR
– you are transgender or gender-nonconforming
