The Illustrious Blacks at Supernova!

Give’nGroove and Supernova are partnering to bring New York legends The Illustrious Blacks to Seattle as a part of their Pride programming! With inspiration from artists like Prince, David Bowie, Grace Jones, Depeche Mode and George Clinton, The Illustrious Blacks have arrived with a mission to fuse futuristic funk, hypnotic house, space disco and synth-pop into pulsating positivity for the planet. The real life married couple are not only co-pilots on their artistic voyage, but are united in their fantastical journey through life. With recent releases on Soul Clap Records, and multiple sets at House of Yes and with the Glitterbox brand, they’ve got a reputation for extending their infectious energy to the dancefloor.

We can’t wait to feature their mixture of vogue, dj’ing, and performance up on the disco ball. We have an EXCELLENT local support lineup as well, with Supernova staples DJ Essex and Deejay Hershee joining local legends Joey Webb (making his Supernova debut!) and Riz Rollins.

If that wasn’t enough, proceeds from the event will be benefiting Seattle’s LGBTQ Center, which creates equitable access and connections to LGBTQ-affirming resources, wellness and community. Join us on 6/17 for a night to remember on the dancefloor, all for a good cause!
