– Spirit Grove
Instagram: www.instagram.com/spiritxgrove
I am a queer nonbinary local artist who specializes in illustration and graphic design. My one main goal after graduating art school was to create a safe space to share my artwork with others. I am someone who doesn’t like to base things off of appearance or gender, hence being nonbinary, so I’ve begun my journey creating a space for all people to feel welcome through art markets.
– The Pink Fishy
Instagram: www.instagram.com/_thepinkfishy
I create stickers, art prints, comics, and custom portraits. I also make fanart for anime and cartoons. The best way I can describe my art is Transgressive Pop Art. Through it’s brutal and bright appearance, I want my work to appease an internal rage everyone has. Even if they pretend they don’t have one. my identity as a nonbinary, first generation Filipino-American, has reflected in my work by displaying a strong want for belonging but always feeling like there’s something off about the positions ( labels ) I’ve been put in. This is why many of my pieces are aesthetically very soft and cute but with an element in the piece that makes it very jarring / disturbing.
