Call for Research Participants who identify as part of the transgender community

Hello! My name is Esther Brito, and I am a queer PhD researcher based at American University in Washington DC. I am conducting a study to understand the experiences of the transgender community across the United States over the last few years.

Transgender identity and existence has become increasingly politicized over the past election cycles. My hope with this study is to understand what the community perceives as the narratives that are being presented about them, and how they feel their lives have been impacted by these narratives.

If you choose to participate in this research, my hope is that we could have a short 30 minute conversation about your life and experiences. No preparation is needed, and I am happy to approach communication in the way that is most comfortable for you. As a doctoral researcher, my means are limited, but I can offer 15 dollars as payment for the conversation.

All information will be recorded anonymously, and any accommodations for the comfort of the participants are possible. Please note that both identifying as part of the transgender community and residing in the United States are requirements for participation.
