YOUTH ARTS PROGRAM

Gay City: Seattle’s LGBTQ Center’s Youth Arts Program is a paid guided mentorship program culminating in a showcase of new performance art for LGBTQ BIPOC youth ages 13-18.

EMERGE

Gay city x velocity

Gay City and Velocity have created the framework for a yearly recurring festival that offers emerging performance-based adult artists production, artistic mentorship and support alongside business and sustainability training.

GENDER GEMS

Gender Gems, led by Gay City volunteer Shann Thomas, is a large-scale photography and visual design project that seeks to honor Two-Spirit, trans, fa’afafine, non-binary and femme elders in the Puget Sound region.

Art is the voice, spirit, and conscience of every community and is a vital tool for community reflection, dialogue, and pride. We collaborate with local LGBTQ artists to galvanize an audience for queer arts, foster the development of LGBTQ artists and works, and facilitate accessible artistic excellence.
