About Our Volunteer Program
At Seattle’s LGBTQ+ Center, your volunteer experience has real, tangible results. Whether helping to produce special events or assisting in one of our office spaces, you’ll see the impact live and in-person. Use your personal experiences to create programs and determine how they will help support the community.
You control your shift time, commitment and depth of involvement.
So jump on in! Experience the fun, challenge, and excitement of volunteering at Seattle’s LGBTQ+ Center.
Volunteer Onboarding Process
The first step in becoming a volunteer is to fill out the Volunteer Interest Form. A member of our staff will review your responses and reach out within 5-10 business days. You may then receive an invitation to a volunteer training. After attending the training, passing a background check, and meeting other requirements, you may be offered a volunteer position.
We appreciate your patience throughout this process! We have a very small staff and receive a significant amount of interest in volunteer opportunities, but we will strive to be communicative and responsive.
Thanks so much for your interest and we look forward to meeting you soon!
